If you are fascinated by Lovecraft’s fiction, this is a fascinating and informative article. From Lovecraft Ezine, one of my favorite sites.
H.P. Lovecraft: Dreams of an Accidental Shaman.

Very interesting article–thanks for sharing it. The author sees a strong connection between Lovecraft’s work and his dream life–so much of his stuff reads like a person’s dream journal transmuted, (barely), into autobiographical fiction. But I disagree that HPL was wholly a materialist or atheist–much of his commentary on this sounds more like adolescent posturing. The fact is, supernatural and even Christian imagery is pervasive in his stories and poetry.

Nicely said, Sean. I like your point about the Christian imagery. I’ve not read much of Lovecraft’s poetry.
While I’ve never read any Lovecraft, you are correct. The article is fascinating.
