Yeah, Teri, I too find that speaking directly with my characters can break a stall. A casual conversation in the realm of the imaginary. Almost like being a child again and playing with imaginary friends.

Sometimes when I’ve gotten stuck with a character, I interview them. I don’t always discover everything about them when I create their backstory, and I’ve had a few interesting surprises.
